Blores Hill Mountain Bike Park – Located just 20 minutes from Sale, this park offers thrilling mountain bike trails for all skill levels, from beginner to advanced. The park features loops, technical descents, and plenty of challenging routes for enthusiasts looking to test their skills.

Kayaking & Canoeing

Lake Guthridge offers a tranquil setting for kayaking or canoeing. Paddle along the calm waters, take in the surrounding nature, and enjoy the peaceful environment. Kayaks are available for hire at the nearby Port of Sale​.

Hiking and Birdwatching

Sale Common Nature Reserve – This 300-hectare nature reserve features walking trails through wetlands, marshes, and red gum woodlands, making it a prime spot for birdwatching and experiencing Gippsland’s diverse ecosystem. Cyclists can also enjoy a leisurely ride on the reserve’s trails.

Fishing at the Port of Sale

With easy access to the Thomson River and Lake Wellington, the Port of Sale is a great spot to drop a line. It’s popular for catching bream and perch. Visitors can also take a scenic heritage cruise on the Rubeena along the Sale Canal for a unique view of the area.
